What type of equipment do you offer for message on-hold and will it be compatible with my phone system?
In 33 years we haven’t met a phone system we can’t work with. The messages are easily changed via one of the following methods:
iLink: The iLink is an internet downloadable system that connects through it’s built in 10/100 LAN jack. We upload your new message from our studio, through the local Ethernet directly to your iLink machine.”
Messager USB: We email a message file (MP3 format) directly to you. You simply “drag and drop” the message to and from the USB flash drive and plug it into the Messager USB.
No On Hold Unit: For some phone systems, you will not need an on hold unit. We can email you the production and you can upload directly into your phone system.
We recommend that your phone vendor be contacted to connect any peripheral equipment to your phone system; all parts necessary for installation are provided. All of our equipment is made in the USA.
What is the turn around time for receiving productions?
We can get your production to you very rapidly – and can often provide 24 hour turn around after your script has been approved by you.
How often should my message be changed?
Your type of business will determine your production schedule.
We offer 30, 60, or 90 day update cycles but will be happy to tailor a program to fit your needs. Your copy writer will contact you when you are due for an update – you never have to worry about deadlines!
What if I wish to increase or decrease my schedule?
There is no penalty for increasing or decreasing your schedule at any point in time. Your monthly fee will be adjusted accordingly.
How are the scripts written?
An experienced copy writer will work with you to develop a script that best fits your business needs. You can supply a draft that we refine, or simply provide information regarding your products, services, and promotions that your copy writer will incorporate into a cohesive script. The tone and language will provide a conversational message experience, thanking your callers for remaining on hold and ultimately retaining them. You approve every script before it’s recorded.
How long do my messages need to be?
We assist you in formatting a script length, mood, and style that will keep your callers on the line and inform them of useful information about your company. The standard production length is 3 to 4 minutes. If your business tends to keep callers on hold for longer periods we can provide you with a longer production, as needed.
What is the cost and what are the contract requirements?
Your monthly production cost is based on frequency of updates. Production contracts require first and last months fees and a term of one year is standard. Flexible terms and programs are available. Our contract is for usage fees only. The production or music is not sold to you outright.
Pay attention to your callers!
Telephone traffic studies show 70% of business callers are put on hold.
Up to 60% of those callers hearing silence hang up before the call is answered, 30% don’t call back at all!
A study by the North American Telecom Association disclosed “90% of callers listening to silence on hold will hang up within one minute. Most callers hang up after 30 seconds!”.
Callers listening to messages will stay on the line for up to 3 minutes longer.
CNN reports the average person is kept on hold a total of 60 hours per year.
Without music or message 60% will hang up.
Telemarketing Magazine reports 15% to 20% make purchases based on information they heard on – hold.
The evidence is clear it doesn’t pay to ignore your clients!
